The 2018 edition of Malhadinha Nova late harvest, golden of colour, like other editions it is very aromatically intense and complex, where quince, orange and apricot notes are highlighted, envolved by the great quality wood. On the mouth the profile is likewise complex and rich, the sweetness is perfectly balanced by the great acidity, the finish is very long and persistent.
Grapes were hand picked in the early days of November and selected at the sorting table. The juice from gentle pressing was inoculated with selected yeast. The long fermentation at low temperatures was interrupted to maintain an adequate level of residual sugar. Wine was then aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.
The 80 hectares of vines sprout on the gentle slopes of drained schist soil, inserted into the terroir and respecting and integrating into the existing ecosystem and biodiversity.
