In 2001, the first 20 hectares of vineyards were planted and today we have 35 hectares. From here the best wines were created:

  • Red Wine Grapes: Touriga Nacional, Tinta Miúda, Trincadeira, Aragonez, Alicante Bouschet, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon e Baga.
  • White Wine Grapes: Antão Vaz, Arinto, Roupeiro, Chardonnay, Verdelho,  Viognier, Petit Manseng e Alvarinho.

The perfect weather conditions of the Alentejo, the schist-based soils, the well-drained slopes of the property as well as the carefully selected grape variety (castes) make up the Terroir of Malhadinha Nova with unique conditions for producing wines with unique character and great quality.

Contributing to these conditions are the traditional cordon bilateral system, the micro-drip watering system, the 3 dams for rainwater accumulation and the weather station which provides information for the correct plant growth (relative humidity, temperature, evaporation, and other parameters).

During the harvesting season, the grapes are picked by wise and careful hands and transported in small 12kg boxes to the cellar, situated a few meters from the vineyard where the grapes are once again carefully selected.
