Originally from Lisbon, Carolina joined Malhadinha Nova to take on administrative and auditing duties. Her career began 10 years ago at EY in Financial Auditing, after completing a bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management at ESHTE and a master’s degree in Management at ISCTE.

1. What is your daily routine at Malhadinha?

I systematically monitor internal procedures and quality standards across the various departments to ensure continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

2. How important is auditing for a property such as Malhadinha?

Through internal auditing, we take a preventive approach to avoid any irregularities that could compromise the quality of the product or service. Only in this way can we permanently guarantee compliance with the requirements and standards currently in force regarding quality and sustainability.

3. What are the biggest challenges for those who manage a hotel like Malhadinha on a day-to-day basis?

One of the main challenges is to consistently exceed the expectations of all our guests and/or customers.
